clutch pedal option
Anyone every try this pedal, looks to be a viable option, and much cheaper, as the OEMs are getting harder to find. http://www.xcessivemanufacturing.com/ONLINESTORE.html?cid=65&step=4&pid=393

Yeah, it's gunnu be a few weeks- months before I start buying everything. Depending on what trans I go with, I'm either going to try this pedal or one from a s14 240sx.

Not sure were you're located, but there's two w58s on the Atlanta craigslist for $400. Have you considered using a Nissan tranny? The 350z 6sp is comparable to the v160, and can be done for the price of the w58 swap. 240sx 5sp can be done for dirt cheap.

I'm pretty sure it should work? I believe the pedal relies on the pressure from the master cylinder to stay in position. Springs are there on OEM pedals to absorb vibration/shock and maintain weight. Again I'm by no means an expert and this is all just speculation, but it's a pedal. How complicated could it be?

Most of the dealers, as least where I live Don't carry them anymore. Even the one that do still have a few kickin' around are selling them for $350ish. Which is just too much for some metal and springs.
The s14 240sx pedal does look promising though. I''ve seen them go on eBay for around $50. A lot of people on Craiglist give them away with the KA trans. Supposedly their almost a perfect fit, requiring less modificiation then the Mk3 pedal.

I really need to check this thread more often lol. Anyways the s14 pedal i believe has threaded studs atached to the bracket. Whereas the SC uses a nut and bolt that sandwiches the pedal,MC and frame together. So im pretty sure only mod neccesary is to shave the studs off and either drill two bolt holes, or get creative with a welder if youre feeling ballsy.
