Default ECU Capacitor Leakage evidence?

These look pretty textbook for the capacitors leaking. Would just like a few more opinions on the severity.

Seems they all will fail eventually....

Get it rebuilt; Darryl Geller in Georgia is reputable. He rebuilt my spare ECU and has done many for CL members.

Yup, that's the plan. I was thinking of going to IFO and wanted to know if this could prevent that. No drivability issues, but white smoke briefly on start.

Pretty sure these have a 100% failure rate over time.

Has anyone had a bad ECU or capacitor that did not show ANY physical signs? I have a feeling mine is bad, but it looks perfect visually

I also vote what Duck05 says.

e did my ECU and it was money WELL spent.

It's also a lifetime warranty from what he says on his eBay auction.

yes, capacitors can go bad without an externally visible signs.
although if you do see external leakage then its 100% knowledge they are bad.

How much does he charge? Does he do anything different than what driftmotion does?

Last time I used him, costed me $150. You pay shipping to him, he pays shipping back.

2 day turnaround, lifetime warranty as long as his signature is written on the ECU case. He'll tell you the details. He told me that he was extremely surprised that the car was even running my ECU was so bad.

That is a good price...I had to change my ECU due to problems...I'll send him my old one and get that repaired so I'll have a good back up one if the one I put in goes bad.
