HELP!!!! My car fins fine untill put in drive or reverse!!!!
Maybe someone has had this same issue! Ok so i put new shift solenoids in the transmission and ran fine then this morning it started dying when i put car in drive or reverse, runs fine in park or neutral, it stayed running and i tried to move forward but it runs like it has no power and is lurchy, I work on cars and its not slipping and its not the engine, seems electrical, any advise would be greatly appreciated thanks!! P.S. its a 1992 sc400 thanks again! LOL JUST REALIZED "My car "fins" fine" lol and i cant figure out how to edit it.. but PLEASE HELP, i see views but no answers!!

I put shift solenoids in transmission, ran fine for a week, reves up fine when in park or nutral. Now it's seeming to come and go (only drove once and ran fine for a few blocks then started running very poorly, let it sit 15 min or so and bam.. drove home fine) so I'm thinking electrical seems like a giant short or something, thanks a bunch for help guys, I want my SC back to normal!

Coils come to mind, but I'm thinking the tranny fluid level is inadequate. The torque converter takes up a lot of ATF, it circulates it all throughout the tranny, if you dont put the designated amount of ATF into the transmission, it will do a lot of things that seem wonky. On level ground, and with the car at idle, check the fluid level of the tranny.
