oil leak from distributer

Arrow oil leak from distributer

What can i do to fix this? just a new gasket do i have to pull the intake to pull the valve cover??? need help before i decide to get into this.

Most likely the O ring but if there is oil around your valve covers I would replace the gaskets as well.

its most likely the O ring i changed mine in 30 minutes.
for a whole pack it cost $3 at autozone.
oh and theres a write up on how to do it.

i think i need to change my O-ring as well, have alot of build up by my distributor. wheres that write up at? i know i know, im searching as i type.

how to change the dist o-ring:

1. put the motor on tdc
2. take off the distributor cap
3. the rotor will be at the 1 o'clock position when the motor is on TDC
4. remove the 12mm nut and pull out the whole assembly
5. replace o-ring and reinstall distributor
6. after reassembly use a timing light to make sure the ignition timing is right.

yup thats from the distributor.
better fix it before it damages ur alternator. bcs thats just adds on to the work.
