Angry 1jz problems help !!!!

hey guys so im having problems with my sc400 1jz when i first got it it had like some black aftermarket map sensor that looked like it was tunable and my car was turning off and running really rich so i got a stock map sensor and put it in the car was running like if needed a tune it wasnt running 100% and it would choke out at like 5000rpm in 2nd-5th and now started over heating i believe its cause its in need of a tune since it had a different map sensor before what do you guys think?

Please use correct punctuation when posting. Makes it much more enjoyable to read. I am moving this over to the correct section.

Try using a GM 3 bar map sensor. They can be found for a reasonable price. Overheating can be a number of things. Try the thermostat, and a good coolant flush. You may have air in the system, if unknown from the previous owner. Lastly, could be a blown head gasket. Do a compression check and see if you have a minimum of 150 plus across all six cylinders.

bought one just havnt put it in but i can tell it needs a tune cause at low rpms it runs very lean and you gotta press the throttle more in order for it to lauch out its hard to explain lol maybe just the timing is bad but i didnt wanna tune it on stock ecu but i guess i might have to

If the leaning issue is at certain RPM's, I say its the tuning issue. If the overheating is getting to more common and regular, do a simple compression check, to rule out the blown head gasket. When I am in full boost, I am at 11.1, the whole range and any gear. I did this to be safe.

like from from 1000-3000rpm's it feels like is being held back once i pass 3000 it just throws me back and pulls and chokes at around 5000. and last night my radiator just started smoking on me and spit half of the fluid out.

is your car swapped with a gte motor?
which one? is the engine all stock?
stock turbo(s)?
stock injectors?

funny thing is you say you did the swap yourself, but originally you say when you got the car it had a weird map sensor...

If your car is on stock ecu, stock injectors, and is map based, you don't need a tune. You need to fix the problems with your car. These things run great from the factory, no matter what chassis you put them in, IF you do it properly.
