Hi All,
Been having a vib+ low rumble at 60-65 mph and up. I took it to my dealer(same who screwed up my clutch), they suggested replacing the bushings in the rear end, as the bushings are starting to show some minor wear. I took it to an indy shop and they suggest replacing the drive shaft. Now the indy shop pulled the shaft out and showed me a spot where the front U-joint has a spot or groove, where the movement isnt as smooth as the rest of the range of movement. I have been reading all the posts on drivetrains/driveshafts on here, and most of the descriptions seem to be in the 20-30 mph range. I tend to believe my indy shop more than the dealer, but was hoping some of you would have 2 cents on my deliema. as each job is going to be around a grand. thanks in advance for your input. Do you have an auto or 5-speed; your profile doesn't say. I have spare 5-speed DS I'll sell for a good price. I don't need it anymore... went to 6-speed.
