Default People in the US

I have a question, I have heard of people that will do the 2JZGTE swap for the Lexus with the transmission for 2000 if the parts are given to them ? I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could give me a number or site to someone who did, thank you.

You are talking about $2000 on labor to change the engine and the transmission...You provide the new engine and transmission...
Anyone can do it just ask you local garage. Its just a matter of taking off parts, engine mounts, disconnect the drive shaft from the transmission and get a cherry picker (engine lift)...and you're home free

The 2JZGTE is emissions compliant in the USA if that what you mean, a 50 dollar tip to your local garage that tests emissions does it too

Oh where can I get the engine mounts that are needed ? I know that their is some people that will lengthen the drive shaft.Ok this is my list of what I need.

1. Engine
2. Trans
3. Harness
4. LSD( I will be using the TRD LSD made for the supra)
5. Lengthened drive shaft
6. Custom exhaust of some sort
7. FMIC, but can't I just use the stock SMIC ?

Thanks for the help

i understand the 2jzgte is emmisions compliant, pehaps i phrased my question wrong. anyway, what i meant was that will there be any extra paper work or anything since the motor didnt originally come from that car? or can they even understand that its a supra motor?

Yes you can. We actually have the opening for this. If you remove the air box you will see the opening. I have one for sale as well if you want one.

Default engine mounts and exhaust

you shouldn't need anything in the way of engine mounts. the -GTE will slide right into the existing lexus mounts with no mods.

I bought a standard MK IV downpipe (Rod Millen, or others), with no cat (strictly for off-road, of course!), and it mated perfectly with the Greddy dual exhaust made specifically for the Lexus.

If you use the Supra cat(s), you may find the fit a bit tight in the trans tunnel area, but a few whacks with a big hammer can solve that problem!

for the Getrag conversion, there's a good detail description on the suprastore.com site (I can't recommend them as a source to deal with, however)
