Default Clutch wont engage fully. Need Help!

Took my SC400 manual conversion out the other day (has a W58) and periodically the clutch pedal wont engage all the way to the floor. Simply put when I push down it wont go all the way. It just stops half way, still far enough to engage the clutch but its like its hitting a block. However if I let off and try again it goes all the way to the floor like it should. Carpet isnt interfering either. What do you think is contributing to this problem? Thank you in advance!
