Default Power Steering Goes Out

Hey guys, I've been having a weird problem with my sc300 after replacing my power steering pump and pressure hose. After starting up, power steering works great but after driving for a little while it goes out. If I shut off the car and turn it back on I have power steering again and the process repeats.

No idea what it could be, someone told me it could be the rack is going out and needs to be replaced. Any suggestions would be great, I really don't want to replace a $300 rack!

It never did this before? Only thing left is the rack really unless you got a defective pump.

Nope never had any problems with it. Replaced the pressure hose because it was leaking bad, I drove it a couple days leaking bad like that so I don't know if that messed up the rack or if anything else could be wrong

Did you bleed the system properly after you had it open and also what type of fluid did you use?
