1992 Sc300 ecu rebuild
Alright so I haven't posted in a while been busy with working and doing all kinds of repairs to the SC. Well I am up to the point I think my ECU may be going bad. Car started off with not wanting to hold idle on its own until it hits running temp, shuts off from time to time on hot days engine didn't over heat and battery wasnt dead nor was the alt bad so maybe the ecu got hot?, then it started not wanting to go into O/D all of the time, and now after it rains or gets really humid it dumps fuel like crazy. So much fuel in fact that if I get on it the engine temp will drop from fuel being dumped. I have read in numerous other threads that some of these signs have been ecu problems before. So I am asking for other people to chime in with their 2 cents and also has anyone dealt with any company in particular who does ecu rebuilds? experience with them? price? I've already bought a used ecu once and this is the one that I am currently dealing with. Thanks all!

I am having the same problem with my 92 SC300. You can try Tannin Electronics or All Computer Resources. Both do remanufacturing of the ECU and come with Limited Lifetime Warranties. Prices can range from $300 to $1,000, depending on your ECU number. MAKE sure it is the exact number as your current ECU, otherwise it won't work. If I need one (replacing the MAF first to see if that fixes my issue. if not, I'll order this ECU, should have in within a 2 or 3 days of ordering. I'll post if it either work. Good luck.
