sc300 idles and runs horrible
So yesterday I washed my 92sc300 and I sprayed the motor down with cleaned it like I have on every other car I have owned. When I started it itwas rough to start, now it sputtersand tries to stall, I let it sit thinkin maybe a sensor had gotten wet and needs to dry out. Today I started it after I got home from workbut seems the car runs even worse, so bad it will not even pull into the drive way. I bought a new cap and rotor (seemed to be build up on the contacts). But really I am at a loss for what the problem could be any help?!

You probably got waster in the spark plug holes and its arching to ground. Pull the plug wires out and see if they are submerged in water. If so, then pull all the plug wires from the plugs and blow the water out with compressed air. Clean as much of the water off and inside the plug wire and re-install them and see if that fixed your issue. Water under the cap also will cause this to be worse. But looks like you already replaced the cap and rotor so it should be dry in the distributor now.

is the check engine light on? Sounds like you are possibly running lean causing high exhaust gas temps. Try and unplug the maf sensor and start the car with it unhooked. Preport back on how it runs. If it still runs poorly, plug it back in and disconnect the primary oxygen sensor and start the vehicle.

Well I rechecked the plugs and there was water after all in the rear 2 plugs and the front 2 were clean, today I plan to take off the intake and check the middle 2. But all this started after washing the motor, I hope this fixes the issue.

First off, I'm sorry for the problems the OP is having and I hope for a speedy resolution. BUT . .
for the life of me, I will never understand why people seem to think it's ok to take a hose to their engine
Just because someone has done it before without problems doesn't mean it's ok to do...It's NOT; if they didn't have problems when they did it, then they just got lucky.
