Sc300 and changing the valve cover gasket
So the valve cover was leaking and the gasket needed to be changed. Wow not the 30 minutes to 1 hour job im used to. I had my buddy help, well do everything lol. We spent like 2 hours and got stuck on taking some bolts behind the engine. Finally got them out but had to stop cause needed to work.
Tomorrow @ 6am we gonna finish it.
Got some NGK spark plugs since we have it opened and also replaced the O ring for dist.
Got a long way to keep up with the car behind me and next to me lol
The screws where back here.

know how you feel, i just did this job by myself a few weeks ago and it was a PITA. the worst part was the EGR bolts, which is what im guessing you were referring to when you said bolts on the engine. They arent hard to get off once they are loose, but trying to get the leverage to break them is the hard part. I ended up putting one knee on the battery and the other on the fuse box, since I couldn't reach it any other way. It sucks having 24" pythons. j/k.

lol yeah thats what my buddy did, he got all on top of the car lol. Props to him. He joked about how Supras have more room in the engine bay lol
Finally got it finished, so fresh oil new spark plugs and O ring for distr. Drives great. Now I got to finish cleanining out that old oil that was leaking.

Is there a DIY for this? I searched and saw that there was one, but i'm pretty sure that was for the 1uz... im running a 2jzge, with about 120k on the clock. I'm planning on doing the oil pan gasket, tranny, valve cover, distributor, and exhaust manifold.... anything that i should be weary of? I'm not a mechanic, and I have light experience working on engines. I'd rather do the repairs/maintenance myself so i can save the $$$...
not meaning to thread-jack the OP, it just seems appropriate to post here so there isn't spam about the same thing all over the forum..
