Default Coolant overflow / reservoir

I know the leaky coolant reservoir is a common issue with the SC400. I was thinking of replacing it with one of these instead of the stock tank. Has anyone tried this?

I'm not sure of the exact volume of the stock one, but that seems a bit small (at just 18 oz) since you don't run them full. Not much capacity for hot and cold variations plus some reserve.

Hmm, I'll see if I can figure out the stock volume. I wouldn't think it would be much more than that?

Doesn't look as good, but maybe something like this?

I just want something that isn't too expensive and doesn't leak.

I think you'd have trouble finding the space on that one.

Is there a reason you don't wanna just get a used, stock replacement?

I may try to find one, I'm just worried about the same thing happening. Also, the new ones are about $160.

looks gaudy unless you have other stuff in your engine bay, regardless you will need a floater switch to have your light work still
