Is it my crank pulley or drive belt tensioner???
Got a problem here guys. I made a post back a couple of weeks ago with the same prob.. so when i start my car i hear a loud belt squak! yes a squak but when turning on the a/c there is a loud belt squeak!
now some ppl are telling me its my crank pulley but the belt moves side to side when accelerating. is it my crank pulley of the drive belt tensioner

it could be both, or it could be the belt.
If the belt is dry and cracked then it's the belt, problem solved (might be a good idea to go ahead and do the timing belt as well).
If it's the crank pulley, it would squeak and you could get a nasty vibration when you get on the gas. The rubber dampening material can fall apart over time.
If it's the tensioner, then the belt will feel loose and flexes easily when you move the belt up and down by hand. it should feel tight at all times.
