cant get timing belt on

Default cant get timing belt on

Is there a trick to this I can't get the belt to go on seems as if idler pulley is in the way

With the tensioner off, if you have the right belt, there should not be a problem.

You can make sure you have the right belt by comparing and counting teeth of the old belt.

Start by matching the main pulley mark and go CCW facing the engine. Move the drive side cam over to create a slack, match mark and then rotate back to take away slack. Then move over to pass side cam and do the same.
