I would really like to know this also. If anyboday has a thread on it that would be great. I just got my 92 SC400 back from the dealership and they told me that one of the shift solenoids is bad, but recommended changing all four. They wanted $1,700 dollars to change all four solenoids or $3,500 for a rebuilt tranny. He said you remove the pan and something else and then you can access them. Sounds like something I could do...

depends on the tranny..cbc's has a sc400 going by what the dealership told him..and the other thing is the valve body..which i DO NOT recommend trying to doing yourself having never messed with a tranny before..you can easily screw it up..
for some one that has tranny experience..then the job is fairly easy(from what my tranny guy tells me..i need one as well for my sc300)
for the sc300 theres a total of three(a340e) sc400 has four (a341e)
