Help after rebuilt engine wont start!!!
hey guys i have looked everyone online for the information im looking for so here it is......
i just recently decided to rebuild my vvti 99 sc300 but since there were rumor or speculation that the vvti bottom block is weak i decide to change the bottom end to the non-vvti block.
i ran into few problem: (but i was able to fix!!)
1. As there was no oil line fromt he block to the vvti head so i found a way to bypass that..
2. there is no electronic crank sensor on the block so i took mine off the vvti engine and added it the non-vvti block
the real problem comes in where i put the engine together with a thicker gasket for the turbo i have but the problem is that the engine wont start.
i have aligned the timing correctly so its not the timing i aligned the the dots mark on the cams with the first tick on the crank. i have tested my ecu with other car and my ecu works fine. i am getting fuel to the injectors and i am getting spark. also the igf is working, everything i could think of has been looked twice and then 5 more times.
NOTE: this is a vvti 2JZGE head with a non vvti 2JZGE block from a 92-96 sc300. both head and block have been fully rebuild.
the problem is that injector 2 and 5 are spraying but it gets cut off while the other are still spraying. the other thing is that injector 1 and 6 soark only once while the others are conitniously sparking!!!! what the hell can the problem be? do i have some wires backwards? or does the bottom GE block just not work with the vvti head?
HELP BEEN STUCK ON THIS FOR MONTHS NOW!!!!!

i want to avoid taking it to a shop adter much time and money spent. no wire job has been done and the car did run before rebuilt.
is it that the non-vvti block are not compatible with the vvti head?
next thing to do is to order a new harness and see if it fixes it someone told me it could be bad ground but i grounded everything and its not timing or else there would be no sparks at all
