P/s rack problem
I have a 94 sc400 and when i raised my car today i noticed that there is fluid on both boots on my steering rack. my p/s pump is not leaking at all but the fluid on my boots was dirty looking. I didnt see any leaks coming from up above that would drip on it so do i just need to replace my steering rack? are they hard to replace?

There not a cake job to do ,but there is worse p/s racks to do. If you get them from Lexus they are ungodly expensive around $600. The inner seals are leaking near the inner tie rod ends. Its only going to get worse so replace with a aftermarket rack w/ a warranty and do a power steering flush. The flush will get any remaining dirt out plus you should do it every 30,000 miles.

since it seems like the seals inside the tie rod boots are causing the leak, do you think lucas power steering stop leak will take care of the problem or do i need to change the whole rack and pinion?

Change the whole rack it will only get worse man. I most likely won't even work depending on the size of the leak. You will end up spending more money for the oil and power steering fluid then just replacing the whole rack one time. Don't get it form the dealer it is around $800 or so retarded priced. Buy after market remand comes with a lifetime warranty usually .
