Default So my speedo broke today...

Well the needle had been working fine all day... other than the typical initial warmup period.

I decided on hwy288, to go out for a joy ride.
As I was slowing back down to 80mph.... the gauge is working fine.
I for a few miles and when I look down and its no longer working.

I noticed that the odometer is no longer tracking miles and more of the needle has quit lighting up as well.

Oddly, now my o/d light is constantly flashing when being operated. and Im getting a code 63

I was wondering if any other SC owner's speedometer stop working in this abrupt fashion? or has my gauges finally TKO?
Or has the cable broken?

I'd appreciate a point in the right direction.
thanks everyone!

there is no cable to drive the speedometer. it is a sensor that is in the transmission with a small harness, 3 or 4 wires. im pretty sure your sensor went bad. you are getting codes now because your transmission and ecu don't know how fast you are going. you need yo get a new speed sensor im pretty sure. the gear on the sensor is plastic. after a while and some abuse it may have disintegrated.
