Default need help (Trans Fluid Leaking)

i need help! can someone tell what is this hose is it for? it connect right under the radiator... it has a oil coming out of it is it... not sure what type of oil im thinking power steering fluid, or transmission oil? here are some pictures the hose is sitting right on top of the front sway bar.. it seem like it melt the rubber hose

That is definitely power steering fluid coming out. My guess is it is the hose that sends fluid from the reservoir to the steering rack.

thx alot but i was looking at my power steering fluid it is still full... but im going to replace the hose tomorrow

Could be tranny fluid. Is that the line that sends it to your cooler?

damnit see i believe its the tranny also why? because this morning it felt like my tranny is slipping and after work when i got into my car it wouldnt get into gears... like i said the hose goes from the bottom of the radiator then to that connector...

Check your ATF level. I think there should be an orange dipstick near the rear of the engine bay. You're probably really low.

Here is a thread on how to change your ATF. I guess you just fill it through the dipstick.

on the dip stick when you take it out at the very end of the tip where it bends thats where the oil is at, and it says cold

where is the thread at? and i have to fill it at the dipstick area? theres not much funnel in that thing lol

Oops forgot to link the thread. Just pour some TOYOTA ATF...and nothing else, into the dipstick tube, let sit for 5 min, then check, then fill some more, until it gets to the proper level. Make sure its the good Toyota stuff though.

how many quarts do i need? if you had to check the oil level where should it be at? what type of atf should i use? or do i just got and ask them myself?

The whole tranny takes ten quarts, but you shouldn't need to put in more than two. Just go in to toyota, tell them what car and what year, and they'll give you the right stuff.
