Question about my 1JZ swap.... Please help.
OK, so I just purchased a few things in preparation for my swap.
I own a '92 SC300 auto.
- Supra Struts
- Tein Springs
- Supra Seats
- LS400 Brake upgrade
- Vertex Full Kit
- Cusco Strut Bar
- Audi HID Retorfit
I just bought all together installed:
- soarer 1jzgte longblock w/ wiring and ecu done by dr tweak
- new water pump
- new timing belt
- new 6097 plugs
- new tt hoses
- new tt cable
- new p/s resevoir
- new fan blade
- xs power t61 turbo kit, almost new, less than 1k miles
- 15 psi hks style wastegate ( I plan on going with a better one, as I hear they fail a lot)
- t4 manifold
- downpipe
- 4 inch intake/filter
- 550usdm injectors
- resistor wired to harness
- greddy bcc also wired
- Greddy type r bov
- fmic 3 inch piping
- f1 6 puck clutch
I have a friend that is going to give me all of his 5-spd parts from a '94 N/A Supra from the flywheel back, including tranny, driveshaft, rear end, axles, and pedals and so forth.
I plan on also getting:
- Custom midpipe and Blitz Exhaust
- All Daizen hardware including, bushings, sway bars, control arms, etc...
- 5-spd console and boot
- Fluidyne radiator
- S-AFC to tune it
My questions are:
Will the W58 tranny hold up the power with these mods ?
(i ask because, my friend with a W58 on his supra is running a NA-T turbo kit with a T61 no problem so far at 430hp.)
Also, is there anything else I will need to do the swap ?
Will the tranny parts, driveshaft, rear end, etc. all work with no problem or do I need a custom driveshaft and bellhousing at all ??
Also, will the AC work, or do I need to do something for that too ?
All help appreciated before I dive in to do the work. Want to make sure I have everything.

i am doing a 1992 sc300 auto swap aswell. i am dropping in a 1jz-gte r154. the parts that i need where.
1.sc300 manual clutch pedal and bracket assemblyhttp://store.driftmotion.com/Static/...00pedalset.php
2.sc300 manual brake pedal(only)
3.new stainless steal clutch line
4.going to have to mod the transmission tunnel for the new manual shifter.
5.new shifter(unless you have soarer shifter)
6.sc300 manual clutch master cylinder
7. transmission mount
most of this stuff you can get from driftmotion. there might be more parts needed....

depending on where the shifter is. there are many different ways you can go about fixing it. you can buy new jdm soarer shifter control housing(part 33521)http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...spx?F=3307&P=1 and jdm soarer shifter control retainer (33506f)http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...spx?F=3312&P=1
or you can cut your tunnel and buy this manual supra tunnel(500$ from toyota)https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...316384&page=10
its in the middle of this thread.... or like on this soarer front clip i bought for my 1jz swap (real ****ty looking probably had a big draft too)

Hey thanks, thats the answer I was looking for.
How much are the JDM parts vs. the toyota tunnel for $500, although, I might be getting that too from my friend. But I would rather not have to cut anything.
