My 1JZ swap
Swap is happening in less than a month. Waiting for Jhot's next shipment of motors in a couple weeks. Posting this here and on supraforums with updates. so point out if you see something I missed or an wrong about.
-I already have (mostly stuff I already had)
-walbro 255 fuel pump and install kit
-universal 24x12x3 core size intercooler (making own piping)
-greddy type s bov (the old school, still new in box though)
-greddy 60mm boost gauge
-Just ordered
-Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch kit
-Still need (plan on getting this stuff from a freind at the dealer)
-motormounts (supra TT)- (is there a certain year i need???)
-serpentine belt and water pump (supra TT)
-timing belt ( izuzu trooper)
-throttle cable (supra TT)- (is there a certain year i need??)
-coolant and oil
Only thing I am still wondering about is the coolant gauge issues. Looks like there is an easy tach fix and from the looks of it just installing another aftermarket coolant temp gauge is the best bet.
Let me know what you guys think. Making sure i have everything before I even start. Trying to make this swap go as smooth as possible.
I will start and continue to post pics along the way through the whole process
Thanks Blair
well here is the car at least

The later model tt motormounts are the ones you want to buy, as they are liquid filled or somthing, atleast i bought them for my swap. tach fix is simple short one resistor with a lilttle peice of wire, now the temp gauge ive heard the resistor trick, but i've also heard of a wire on the body plugs you must ground and then get it to work. I'd much rather do the grounding method. It's a straight forward swap man, get ready to do some wire extending!

thanks guys.. i know im starting this thread alittle early but i just wanted to post my progress in case im forgetting something along the way. Im ready for some wiring extension ( did it before on my smaller scale with my SR 240 ). just plan on taking my time and being careful with it.
glad to hear you like the centerforce clutch. I heard it was good and you cant beat the price $290. Seems like it will be fine to hold the power with stock turbos.. maybe later ill have to upgrade but for now i think ill be fine
