is this tranny worth the price?
i finally found a r58 5speed tranny....is it worth 600? its used and the guy dosnt even knoe how many miles are on it... haha he said it looks in good shape so i told him to send some pics over... i dont knoe anything about prices on trannys.... and i read around that soarer r154 is hard to find...how much does soarer r154 trannys run? and will it be hard to modify the supra r154 if thats the last thing to do? can i find someone to mod it for me..incase plan A and plan B dosnt work witch is the w58 and the soarer r154

it's worth it if it includes everything u need for the conversion (tranny, clutch, pedals, driveshaft, etc). are you turbo or are you planning on turboing? if not, the w58 is fine for u.
i'm converting from w58 to r154 and it's costing me about $1800 but that includes a $750 clutch.

W58 "should" hold up, but what we usually find is that boost is like a drug...once you start, you gotta up the dosage after awhile
this being the case, I would suggest going with an R154 to be ready for your addiction once it kicks in.
