Default Update SC400 weight, gte single, Bride, and R154 (pics)

Well, went to the dump today and it came in at 3640. Still pretty heavy for my tastes, but Im workin on it. Here's a relevent list up to date...
  • gte swapped and singled
  • 4 row Greddy FMIC
  • R154 swap
  • some HEAVY moda 18"ers, (those will be next to on the lightenthefatassload list.)
  • Optima Red Top
  • Rear tire out, along with some of the junk back there, carpet is still in though.
  • Got one BRIDE Low Max in the other day (custom brackets)

I threw some pics in for fun...

3640? What year is yours? Mine is 3550 with me in it (145 lbs) and its mostly stock, save a CF hood, but I do have 18's. Does the GTE and FMIC weigh that much more?

92 SC400. You are talking about SC400 right? GVW on the car is 4400+ pds stock.

How much gas did you have in there? Stock brakes? That seems awfully high.

My SC3 + 19's + LS brakes came in at 3530 w/ a full tank.

wow, the shifter mod you did put the **** that high? i'm definitely just heating and bending mine. from my drawings and measurements, the modification will put me 1.5 inches lower than stock.

btw, don't worry about the weigh, just turn up the boost a little. =)

GVW is the maximum weight of the vehicle fully loaded. Basically the total allowable weight of the vehicle. It has nothing to do with the actual weight of the car.

*Edit: Your car is a heavy *****

True but didn't the SC4 come with more options, comfort accessories, stereo junk, etc? All that little stuff ads up pretty fast.

Eh, not really. The SC400 is maybe ~100 lbs heavier than a fully loaded SC300. There was a post on here that showed the curb weights for each model/year.

SC4 has bigger brakes than an SC3, and the Optima batteries are good but heavy.Prob. the wheels getting you as much as anything. A 1/4 mile slip from a local drag strip is what I would like to see.

The wheels are what I was thinking also. I have a long list of mods to do and all of them have to do with weight reduction. I.e, lightweight d/s, redoing the carpet, wheels, another bride seat, etc.

I also did a little research and here is what I found out:

Curb Weight
3506 lb (1590 kg) (1992 SC 300 manual)
3505 lb (1590 kg) (1992 SC 300 automatic)
3604 lb (1635 kg) (1992 SC 400)

So, my car is heavier than what it started as.. YIKES! I always said she had a fatasss but geez.
