Default Crank Pulley Tool

Hey guys,
Doin the water pump and was able to get the crank pulley bolt off with some elbow grease but got it off without breaking anything. Question is, without air tools (really out of the question) what tool do i use to tighten it back on. Torque wrench i have but whats that tool called in the manual that is used to lock the crank pulley in place? it doesn't have a name in the manual. If there is another way to maybe jerry-rig it, please let me know. I want to get it on at 250 ft lbs. and i weight about 250 pounds so i definitely don't want to stand on this and risk deforming the crank or pulley.
Thanks in advance,
Let me know what you guys did to get by this.

-Tony

turbohye, if no air tools, you can use your torque wrench to push 250ftlbs. the crank bolt does not have to be crucially torqed but that sucker needs to be tight.

is locktite recommended for this? I only figured that the if i start tightening it, that it will also turn the crank.

If you put it in gear, the crank shouldn't move. I didn't have air tools. All I did was put a really long hollow tube around the socket so I had way more leverage (the end of the pipe stuck out past the hood). If you do it with just a standard wrench, you will no way get it tight enough.

I suggest putting anti-seize on the crank hub and on the crank pulley bolt when re-installing the pulley. It will make getting it off much easy from now on.

The correct way to do this is to use the appropriate toyota service tool.
this attaches to a ratchet and allows you to hold pulley still as you tighten it with a torque wrench.

using right tools....who does that?

put it in gear and take the torque wrench and torque it. if you are not that strong use a pipe extension as mentioned previously.

invest in a chain wrench, if you are never around air tools.

while using an old serp belt, cut to the same diameter as the crank pulley so you dont score the pulley, have a friend counter you while you tighten it with a long ½" breaker bar. I've only heard of people using loctite-RED on the pulley bolt, not antisieze. Loctite is what they use at my work, everyday, which happens to be Toyota.
