Moved to engine section.

A flashing cel indicates misfire on OBD2 cars. Don't keep
running it like that w/ a heavy misfire, your gonna mess
something up.

Fastest and free way of finding out whats causing it is by taking your car to an Autozone or typically any major Auto Parts store and they will diagnose it for you for free via the ob2 tester.

ps...for anyone who cares... I was recently told by a local Autozone employee that they're no longer allowed to "clear" the codes as they recently gotten sued over it ?!?!

but it seems to be linked to the rpm of the car..... and it doesnt do it all the time... i dont think i am OBDII its a 92. its like when i accelerate sometimes the light will come on and be flashing faster and faster as the rpm go up... its like a weak circuit on a light, and its intermittent... sometimes it comes on, sometimes it doesnt... dont think ive ever had it come on full strength and it has never come on and stayed on.....

92 is definitely NOT OBDII. Sounds like you have gremlins, not fun. On the 92 you have the ability of running the codes manually but I dont think that will do anything in your situation.

My father's car had the same problem and it WAS the O2 Sensors. I ended up replacing all 4 of them. Not cheap but I never had the problem again. The reason all four were done at once, was because the stealership put the wrong two on the car at first, and the problem still existed. The Service writer than tried to hit me up for more money for the one's that they should have replaced in the first place. I said absolutely not, and the service Manager stepped in, and made things right. They ended up replacing the other two that free of charge. I was only responsible for the cost and installation price for two of them.
