I love to see guys with a lot of big dreams and hopes. You have to understand that 600whp on pump gas is unrealistic. You have to invest in an engine management, big turbo, large injectors, Turbo Manifold, External Wastegate, BOV, Frount Mount Intercooler, Clutch Kit, Lightweight Flywheel, External Ignition System, (2) Fuel Pumps, etc. Add up all the other mods you plan on making plus the price of the swap....

In the long run, 600hp on a 1JZ will not be cheaper than through a 2JZ.
In my estimation, the point of diminishing returns on the 1JZ is probably about 400whp. Anything north of that and the 1JZ gets stingy while the 2JZ would barely be to its sweet spot.
ps. Supraforums guys jump through hoops to make 450whp on pump with a 1JZ.
