what 1jz motorset did I buy??????
I just got my 1jzgte motorset today. but i'm not sure what car it came out of. I searched here and couldnt find definite answers. a few clues are..
the oil pan is right behind the crank pulley.
the ecu it came with has 4 plugs into it and each plug only has 2 rows of pins.
pics will be posted up later. If anyone can help identify the motor it would be helpful.

I dont think it is a soarer ecu because I have a soarer harness and the ecu pkugs have 4 rows of pins. The one in the picture only has 2 rows. If it is a chaser engine, then is the tranny is a r154 and useable in the sc300, right??? can anyone verify this.

I agree to the above statement.
Toyota Cressida guys would sell the custody rights to their first born kid to get your JZX81 w/R154 engine set. That is a direct swap into an 89-92 Cressida. Talk about a sleeper.
For the SC, you will need to swap the oil pan to mid-rear sump and build a custom piece to move the shifter location further back the drivetrain to fit through the tranny tunnel and into the cockpit with the shifter.
I am certain there are write-ups about how each of these procedures are accomplished somewhere within the Club Lexus vault.
