for the 1jz swappers
just curious how long it took you guys to get the swap done?
i think once finals are done im finaly diving in so i just wanted to get an idea.
oh and if you could post things that might have added alot of time to your swap like "auto to manual" or missing parts, things of that nature. And even a little back ground as to your mechanical prowess or friends that helped out would be cool too. im just trying to see where the CL comunity is at.

From driving my car into the garage to when its started with the 1J was about 15 hours. It still needs another half of day of work to be road worthy. I am just too busy with school to get home for a day to finish the little things up.
At the same time I also did a waterpump, timing belt, tensioner, thermostat, plugs etc etc. The timing belt alone took a good amount of time. ( probably took about as much time as the swap itself haha )
Its truely a very easy swap

Mine took longer because it wasn't worked on everyday. I drove my car to NY from MD for the swap. Had some issues but considering I drove back four hours with the motor and no issues I would say it went well. Even got 200 miles on barely half a tank. In the meantime my single conversion is taking forever ha ha.

If you are using the stock w58 then you use your same driveshaft. I went with a soarer r154 so i had to use the front half drive shaft from a mk3 supra turbo

It is a pretty straight forward swap, I have done two with just me and a buddy. My only deal is I cant figure out what is going on with mine now since the new 1j was put in. Cranks but no start... Real bummer.
