Default W58, R154/r154 trans

i did as much research as i can but many things were left unclear. Ok i own a 95 sc300 auto. im looking to convert to a manual. i cant afford the getrag even though its the sickest trans you can get. im kind of on a budget since i bought a single turbo kit body kit brake upgrade and paint job rims etc. so my question is i want a 5 speed manual. i know there is a w58 trans from a mk3 but is known for a bad 2nd grear and cant handel to much power. and also there is two kinds of r154s? one is on a sc300/soarer and the other is on a mk3?! now i heard that on the mk3 version its longer so if i bought that i would have to make a bigger hole in the shifter location and possibly "fix" the trans tunnel. while the other r154 should bolt right in. so what would be the easiest way to convert to manual? i already bought a clutch assembly kit pedal master slave cylinder etc. so if i find a r154 from ebay or some jdm importer would i be able to use my stock drive shaft or source out a soarer which i think is not easy to find. is there another way? So anyone with expereince with a conversion on a auto to manual (not getrag 6 speed) what would you go with and what would i need to buy to make the transplant a easier one? currently its a stock N/A 2jz. after the manual swap in a couple of months ill be swapping for a 2jz tt with the install of my single turbo. sorry for a long post.
much appreciation to any help!!!!!
Otis.
