Default Car is running bad!

Okay I tested the dizzy. left distributor isnt giving a spark or something. if i unplug all 4 wires from 1 distributor, it idles the same. if i do the same from the other, the car wont run.

dis and cap?

Yesterday morning was the first colder day (60f) I had a hard time starting the car, took maybe 5 seconds of cranking. Once its warmed up, I had no problem starting it up that same day.

This morning its colder (50f), and it only took 2-3 seconds to crank over, but then my trac light came on. I started to drive away and then my car started to bog (felt like something was with the AFR or Timing). I shut off the car, re-started it, TRAC light is off, but runs like crap still.

I originally trhought it was the starter from day 1, but after today, obviously the car starts.

What could it be? Cold Start Injector?

I havent done anything to the car except 5w-30 Mobil 1.

try removing the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes then replace it and start it up. It sounds like the ecu is having a hard time with the difference in climate at this time of year.... welcome to what us northerners deal with. if that is not the case then start looking at ingnition components like the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc.

i dont think it would be spark plugs because its all of a sudden, like one extreme to the other.

I<3CL

Even though the car isnt running, let me tell you what happened.

So i went far and beyonf to find a rotor/cap, got one, installed it (what a ***** on the passenger bank!!!). It didnt fix anything, but maybe prevent a further problem. the rotor was cracked!

Anyways. after a few hrs of diagnosing... Figured it was the coil pack. The passenger bank amps the voltage to... 12v. which im assuming its doing nothing. the drivers bank is amping the voltage so high that it shuts off my volt meter and makes it flicker lights that i never seen on it before..

It would start with one good pack and one bad. I put the bad one on the good one and it wouldnt start (GOOD FOR ME ) but i couldnt do it the other way around becuase i coudlnt get the drivers pack off.

So right now, the car is awaiting the pack (7:30am!) and its all back together.

so i should have no doubt its anything but the pack, right?
