Default 6-speed 98 SC300 VVT-i 2JZ-GTE swap achievable?

Hello Turbo SC300 owners...I have been playing with the idea of a 2jz-gte SC300 for some time now. I have been searching the threads and old turbo magazines on featured supras and their upgrades in an attempt to see if my idea will work. So, is a 6-speed 98 SC300 with A VVT-i 2JZ-GTE swap achievable? What is the Ideal SC-GTE model swap?
First off, VVT-i. I read in the March 03 Turbo mag about a drop in swap that used a 97 SC300 and a VVT-i Aristo 2JZ-GTE. I am unaware of any changes to the 1991-1997 SC300 but have read in1997 The SC300 was improved with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) for 1998 and later model cars. Is the VVT-i 2JZ swap the better way to go over earlier year non VVT-i SC300’s? On to transmissions. Am I correct that manual transmissions were discontinued after 1997 on the SC300 but The SC300s that came with optional Toyota W58 5-speed manual transmission minus traction control? Would the Toyota A343E 4-speed automatic transmission (With necessary upgrades) or W58 5-speed be reliable and dependable for a 500-600RWHP street driven car or use a Supra (TT) Getrag V160 6-speed manual transmission? My next concern is LSD. Use the TRD full-time limited-slip differential or possibly an upgraded supra LSD?
Now wheels and suspension. I would like to use a set of Volk LET37T 19x9 in front with 265/35/19s and 19x10.5 in the rear with 295/35/19’s. What is the largest wheel tire combo I could use. Suspension I am thinking TEIN but not 100% sure if I want full performance or comfort. Any help, literature, links, do have and don’ts would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks guys

Wow, lots of questions. Here's some answers: Yes a VVT-i swap is possible, but if you're trying to shoot for 600whp it may be more trouble than it's worth. Most will tell you just to go with the non VVT-i engine to avoid headaches. Regarding transmissons, the stock W58 is said to be good for about 450whp or so and then it goes to tranny heaven. You can build up the autos too. Of course the V160 will work, but it cost big $$$. Some are now beginning to use the R154 from MKIII Supra, but some mods need to be done to the tranny to make it work. And regarding the LE37T's from Volk, I don't think they're making them anymore as they are no longer on Rays website. Also, if you want to run 295's with 19 inch wheels you'll probably have to use a 30 series tire instead of the 35. Hope that helps. Also use the search button. There's lots of great info held in the forum. You've just got to find it.

I've got a friend with a 99 sc na-t with a tt block, a vvti head, 6 speed tranny and tt rearend putting down 600rwhp. Haltec controls the fuel and timing and the factory computer controls the vvti. It is very possible. Not sure how much boost, but its doable.
