v160 for the future maybe
well ive been thinking about what tranny im gonna use after i do my na-t. im aiming for 500hp or somwhere pretty close to that. i know my stock tranny wont last long although i do think it might have been rebuilt recently. it shifts very smooth right now and no problems just a little high pitch winning, no grinding ect. but once it starts to go crap on me i was thinking of a v160 (supra 6speed tranny). i have a 95 and ive been reading that its easier to swap into a 95 sc300 than the earlier modles. im thinking i will need, tranny, drive shaft and TT rear end. so that way i wouldnt have to do a custom drive shaft.. just posible get a TT drive shaft???. anyone have any input. i also dont know what it takes to drop a TT dif in either.

Please search. This has been posted on a million and one times. As far as the drive shaft you can cut and splice like some have done and broken. cough cough DETUNED cough. This is because the W58 and the V160 use different input shafts. I think.... Or you can go the proper route and get a custom one made. i think it's like 3 or 4 inches. I'm not positive though I've yet to do it, but will soon.

It's been covered ad nauseum over the past 5 years... try refining or changing your search terms.

I have heard nothing but custom driveshaft when it comes to the v160 in the SC. From the professionals to hearsay, custom.
and please use search. Change your keywords to 6speed conversion or something. I know for a fact there is an official parts list somewhere tucked under all of the newb questions.
