I can't believe I am having this "oh so common problem" with my car after resetting..
....the computer.
I changed the alt and bought a new battery...... which reset my computer. Much like others who have disconnected their power and reset their computer, my car has ran like crap for a week.
It stumbles when I touch the gas, has the power of a 4 cyl ford ranger, and overall performance has suffered to the point that it stumbles at light pedal power going down the road.
I'm going to shove a can of seafoam in it, clean my IAC, and replace my pcv. Then I'll reset the computer again and we'll see what happens.

Ive been having the same problem after I did my BFI.
I tried cleaning my VAF and the grill in front of it.. Didnt help much.
Knowing this I still took it to the track cause its my only saturday off in a month... And well I had very inconsistent runs running slower then stock.. and a few runs faster then stock ever so slightly. I think I lost low end.
Basically I can't floor my car or itll stumble its way up the rev range. I have to.. hold thepedal just right, to get the faster accelaration, I can only floor it past 4000 rpm where it comes stronger then before probably thanks to the BFI.

when you first reset the ecu, start the car and let it sit for 10 minutes to get the right atmoshperics/barometrics for idle. turn it off. then turn it back on and go for a drive how you normally drive the car. turn it off, then turn it back on and let it idle for 5 minutes. thats what we do at lexus of cbus. car feels like a champ after. it allows everything to set its own baseline and then modify the map to adjust for the needs over a week span. same reason why your ecu will store codes for a week, gotta love on board diagnostics.
