Default Check Engine Light

I have a 95 SC 400, pretty much stock. Ever since I purchased the car over 2 years ago, I have had an interesting, im not going to say problem cause i havent really had a problem, but indication, maybe??? Every once in a while the check engine light will flash on for maybe 3-5 seconds then shut right off. It is not a very common occurance, sometimes months will pass with out seeing it. Like I said, ive had no problems really, maybe a little idle temperment, but nothing that akward.

The car is obviously OBD1 so I dont know how much a computer check would help. Does anyone know if the check would pull up any codes if the engine light is off? Like I said, the light turns off after 3-5 seconds, so its practically impossible to test it when the light is on.

Any ideas?

check that... you should still be able to get the last couple codes in the computer if they were truly valid - could be a faulty connection though.... let me know what it says... i have the entire repair manual in pdf and can tell you how to fixe each code...
