sticky shifter
I have a sc3 5spd, and..
I took my car into my shop one day claiming that when I shifted it felt "notchy". Notchy may have been the wrong word, but I wasn't sure how else to describe my problem. Anywa, they took it out with me for a drive and disagreed -- they thought my clutch was working great, no problems -- but they recommended that my stick shift could use some lube.
They're not that familiar with SCs.. so I thought I'd ask here. Anyone else have or have had problems with their stick being hard to move? Mine seems to require quite a bit of effort. 4th-5th is a pain.
I have had my transmission fluid changed recently... Red Line 75w90, and that helped a little bit, but its still not great.
Any ideas? Do I need to lube something in the shifting mechanism itself? What should I use? white lithium grease? -- Could there be some other problem?

it will probably help to get new shifter bushings. theres two bushings inside the shifter housing you can change for like 15 bucks at the toyota dealer...20 minutes to install.
someone already did a good write-up on it:
