Power Steering Leak -- Anyone tried Auto-RX?
My power steering is leaking from the pump as well as the high pressure hose. The pump is leaking directly onto the alternator. I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment but do have a spare bottle of Auto-RX. I was wondering if anyone with a SC400, or even a SC300/LS400 for that matter with a PS leak has tried Auto-RX in the power steering system, and if so, what the results were. Its leaking slowly, (it went from the hot level to the cold level on the dipstick in 1000 miles) but as I said, its leaking on the back of the alternator as well as the high pressure hose, which will cause me to fail inspection if a shop actually checks for it.

Power Steering Leak
Get your PS Pump leak fixed ASAP or you will be replacing both it and your alternator.
If you get even a small amount of Power Steering fluid in your alternator it will fail very quickly.
You can buy a PS rebuild kit from toyota or buy a rebuilt complete pump unit.
Best do it very soon before your alternator fails as well.
