Battery keeps on decreasing...need help asap
sup guys. well basically today while i was driving...my battery light came on and i have a battery meter on my turbo timer and it kept continuously decreasing ( ex: 12v all the way down to 6v )
its a brand new Interstate battery. its about 2 weeks old. i do have a grounding kit on it. i did read on some searches on the site that some people said it was a grounding problem??? not sure.
when i jump it....my voltage meter reads 12.4 v. right when i disconnect the jump cables it just counts down and then the car dies.
alternator problem???
i dont want to buy a new alternator if i dont have to. my battery right now is getting charged at some gas station so hopefully i can get it workin in about 30 mins.
oh...i do have a 1jz swap. maybe its good to know that also. thanks for the help

yeah 9 times out of 10 that is going to be your alternator. Have autozone or advanced or napa or somebody do a load test on your alternator and battery to see which one it is.
