FINALLY! The moment I have been waiting 7 months for...TRD motor mounts
Well after almost 7 months of waiting they have finally arrived, my TRD motor mounts. This is what has been keeping me from putting my engine back into my car. My original mounts were gone, completely. No wonder the engine was shaking like crazy. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY had them. Got these from MVP. I can finally start putting my car together, right after my JUN flywheel comes in

Nice
How much were the TRD mounts? What difference is there between them and the genuine Toyota part? My RHS one is shot so I wanna replace both of them And my greabox mount too

They cost me $119 a piece plus shipping of $8 which is a damn good price. Just contact Dusty at MVP and he'll hook you up if you need one or two. Really good guy and easy to work with. But he told me that he doesnt have many left. They ordered a batch of 20 and 16 are gone already. They are way sturdier than the stock ones and are recommended for higher HP cars. When I pulled my engine out and saw that both of mine are shot, I decided to just go ahead and replace them with TRD ones right away so I dont have to mess around with that later. Dont know about the tranny mount. I think TRD only makes one for the Getrag tranny. So I'm just relieved that I finally got them.

Height Issues??
RR,
You've got PM, question regarding height issues. Let me know, thx!

"I opted for the upgraded TRD supra mounts for the 93.5-96 supra. They are supposed to be real heavy duty mounts. One thing about these mounts is that the brackets on the SC is longer than the 93.5-96 supra bracket, Thus it will push the engine about 2 inchs too high. So i had to buy the brackets too along with the TRD mounts."
Did you have to change brackets?

Yes you have change brackets and the costs start to escalate, I am returning my TRD mounts and going with Lexus OEM for $120 each vs, $260 pair for TRDs plus another $165 for short brackets to mount the TRDs because SC300 have high engine brackets that are NOT compatible with any TRD engine mounts, end of story.
Got to draw a line somewhere. Wished I'd known this first, lost two weeks of install time screwing around with motor mount questions

yup, just so everyone knows, price goes up real fast with the brackets and 2 more bolts you need to buy for the short brackets because the long brackets use 4 long bolts wheras the short brackets use 3 long and 1 short on each bracket.

My final solution: Supra NA mounts, half metal incased $54 bucks each, phew!
Yes, ummagawd, that is exactly what I ended doing.
Here are theToyota Supra NA engine mount insulator part numbers that fit our SC300's with the tall engine mount brackets:
12360-46111 both sides
Highly recommend them. For starters there is a real design advantage, as the upper half of these insulators are INCASED IN METAL, JUST LIKE THE TRD MOUNTS that you see in the picture RR-SC300 posted at the beginning of this thread. Added bonus, these are like $54 ea. from Carson Toyota,
OEM Lexus all rubber mounts list at $140.54 each, though my dealer offered to discount to $120.
Part number: 12311 46040 for LexusSC300 2jz-ge
Regarding the TRD mounts, you need these brackets to go with them part number: 12315-46041 and 12311-46041

So all a SC300 needs is the 1996+ Toyota Supra Twin Turbo OEM engine mounts to fit our 2jz-ge engines perfectly?

Hmm... so this thread was resurrected; I'll contribute what I know.
I just installed Supra motor mounts. The top half is encased in metal. It seems to be superior to the OEM sc300 mounts. Part numbers and prices are here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=236245

Picture worth a thousand words. Here are the Supra metal encased motor mounts (can shaped with the bolt through it) and the long bracket that is stock on the SC300. They are the two completely in the picture and that combo fits the SC...
Note: on the far right is the pix of the Supra tall mount (TRD is also same height) that does not fit the SC300 because it is too tall when combined with our eom bracket and jacks your engine up too high. You can see that if you combined the the tall bracket with the tall mount (the sliver seen on the edge of the pix) your engine is going to sit up too high.
Also, note on the far left, barely in the frame, is a sliver of the short bracket for the mount on the far right, these are the two that are needed to do the TRD mount. That is the "short mount, long bracket" refered to earlier in this thread.

These DO NOT Fit unless you get the short bracket
These are the size of the long motor mounts ( as well as the TRD motor mounts) that DO NOT FIT the SC300 stock bracket. It is easy to see that when used with the above your engine sits too high.
Again, for comparison, note the eom Supra set up partially visible on the far left. The set up on the far left is identical to our SC300.
