Angry Yes, another power steering problem

Hi everyone. Yup, I got a power steering problem with my 92 SC400. Before anyone tells me to search, I did use that button but I'm still stuck. Well basically, the problem has been goin on for a while now. I did change the unit with a rebuilt but it seem that I have almost the same problems.

I always got the noise from the power steering when I put in the fluid. Later I found out that it was because I did not bleed it properly. So I did get to bleed it, I'm sure I did it right because the noise was gone and it sound like how my car was suppose to be when the steering wheel was turning.

I thought that was the reason why my power steering was acting up. Sortly after, the problem came back.
I don't know why, but the power steering fluid come out from the cap of the reservoir. and then the noise comes back and the steering get a little harder.

I thought it was the cap thats the problem, so I took many layers of plastic to use as a seal for the cap but, no help. It gushes out when the car is parked. I am all out of ideas what to do. What would cause the fluid to come out of the cap?

My guess: You didnt completely bleed the system of air, leave the cap off and turn the wheel a whole bunch. Also, make sure to check the level when the car is off!!!!!! If thats not it, then there may be too much fluid in it?

i wouldn't try to fix the cap.

I would replace it.

they are non-serviceable items.
