Question 1998 Exhaust same as 92-97??

I noticed that many people have used either Borla, Magnaflow, Dynomax, JIC, and APEXi N1 mufflers on their cars. I was wondering if the piping, etc. for the 1998-up SC400's are identical to the 92-97's. Does anyone know the answer? I have searched everywhere but all the posts are about the 92-97 SC's. I had a 1993 SC400 and removed the cats and the center resonator then added Dynomax mufflers. The sound was awesome! I just want to get a similar sound with my 1998 SC400. I know the motor is slightly different but I am assuming the exhaust is the same. If I remove the two rear resonators in my 1998, how much louder would it be? I also understand that 1998-up SC's have a middle cat and no middle resonator anymore. Is this true? Somebody help. I want to hear and feel my V8 .

Thanks,

Anybody? I noticed that Borla's axle back system says 92-98. I am guessing the 92-97 and the 98-00 exhausts are the same as far as the rear section is concerned. Does anyone think that removing my rear resonators and replacing them with straight piping and adding some Megan GT or Apexi N1 mufflers would give me a decent sound? I have read a few posts on the Megan GT and hear that the mufflers are quite good and produce a good sound. I am trying to minimize costs since I have spent a lot of $$ on maintenance. I know jbrady has done some exhaust mods to his 1999 LS400 but I am unsure if the setup is similar to mine. Still open for suggestions.
