Default Trac light is on

my trac light has been coming on a couple time in the pass couple weeks.....Its the trac light on the speedometer, not the trac light next to the engine check light......It stays on while the engine is one but once i turn off the engine it goes away and doesnt come back for a week or so......Anyone know what it is?

Do a search, many questions and answers on this topic. Also check for a failure code, could be a oxygen sensor.

already did a search couldnt find anything with the trac light on the speedometer, only stuff with the trac light next to the engine check light

i mean the light comes on when the traction control is on but thats only for a couple secs.....the light comes on and stays on, it was perfectly drive yesterday

Pull and post your codes. If you do not have the service manual, a search here should turn up directions on how to pull your codes ( my brother VQT posted it sometime ago ), Not sure if the SC300 has the same codes as an SC400 but if it's an ABS code 43 and Trac code 54 it's most probably a failed Trac High pressure hose,

i pulled the codes, the ABS is 54 and the Trac is 43....anyone can tell me what this is?

i looked at the high pressure hose and its leaking, does anyone know the part number for it?

i replaced the high pressure hose today.....it took me all of 15 mins at most....bleed the system after and the brake feel is much better and the traction control doesnt come on at random times.

Default a little off topic

i have a trac light problem too. i noticed it came on only when i push the car, when i floor it. then it goes on. once i let go of the gas it disappear . ever since then i don't floor my car ne more.

thats the traction control kicking in, its normal.......mine light is staying on untill i turn off the car, its a problem with something in the traction control system but i dont know what, i thought i fixed it with the high pressure hose but now i get a high pitch noise that sounds like something i choking and usually twice and then the light comes on.....if anyone know what this is and can help.....i might end up bleeding the whole system and see if that fixs it

I know this is an old post, but did you ever find out what the problem was..?
I have the same problem. I know immediately when the light comes on, because the car drive changes so much....thanks.
