Some guys on www.planetsoarer.com analyzed the exhaust system components and found that the cats weren't too restrictive. The resonators and mufflers on the other hand

Vegassc400:
cool thanks for the tip,
I guess, I'll figure out a way to remove the resontator and replace it with a straight pipe, and try some turbo mufflers, or a cat back system.

I doubt I would need resonatators of any sort when my turbo kit goes it.

Regards
Ken

Cool Cats!

Reply back when you decided on what cats you are going to use, I am getting the jBrady headers and i have to replace my old cats anyway. I checked planet soarer and I liked the way the CarSouors and ones looked, plus they are better than stock. And also if anyone knows if our resonaters suck a$$ so bad I dont want straight back from the headers without them because i dont want my Lex to sound like a camaro, So what should i do to get rid of the restrictive resonators?

The resonators in Australia are Japanese market items and are different from what we have in the states on our SC's.Our US market cars have straight through type resonators, like the ones on aftermarket performance exhaust systems.
The Japanese cars have reflective type baffles and are much quiter/more restrictive, like on US LS400s.
I'm going to try replacing the portion where the two down pipes come together;do a search and look at some of the Dr.Gas collectors that JBrady found to help get rid of restriction in this area.

I pulled my rear 2 resonators and left the middle one but it's still pretty loud with my straight thru mufflers. Maybe some Magna flows or some flowmasters would quiet it down some.
