Default Anyone care to answer a few specific MISC questions about turbo kits/sc300's in gen?

I have been reading this forum a lot. I have read all the FAQ's regaurding swaping in the GTE motor vs turboing the GE. I have desided that, for my power goals, turboing the GE motor is a better option. I am trying to research different turbo kit options, but boostlogic's new kit seems like its the best for me (they are local to me). Could anyone perhaps talk to me over AIM about some questions reguarding SC300's in general, as well as the turbo kits, as well as options ect. ?? I would be most great full. I'm not trying to make a "n00b" post, but it seems all but unavoidable.

You're not signed on!

I'm more interested in information about the N/A -T , many of my questions have been answered except a few about the stock rear end and drag racing.

Why don't you just call Kean at Boostlogic and ask him your questions. Kean is a really nice and friendly guy. He will definitely help you out if you need anything. BTW, if you are choosing a turbo kit, Boostlogic's is definitely the best way to go. Best quality that comes with the best price!!

The stock rear end will do just fine. Just get the turbo. Worry about your hole shot and spinning two wheels after that.

I'm just worried about launching the car w/ a stall on drag radials or slicks w/o an LSD.

Yeah, so what's wrong with some specifically miscellaneous questions?

Worst case scenario - you shred your wimpy OEM tranny, drive shaft or differential. I'm willing to wager that it will hold up for a little while though at least. Unless you are crazier than some guys here (wich again I'm willing to wager that you are not).

Best case - one wheel spins. Some of us have gotten both to spin on occasion though with our wimpy open OEM diffy's.

So what do you think the limits , HP wise, are of the "wimpy oem auto"? I'll probably put in a boostlogic converter. Hopefully it will last long enough for me to swap in the 6 speed

The going consensus is somewhere around 400 rwhp. But I'm sure someone could find a way to shred it at less.
