Questions to ask at delivery.
Greetings everyone.
I've been "lurking" here for a month, ever since making a decision to go with nx200t after test driving new AudiQ3, RDX, Murano (have one now), Mazda CX5, Subaru.
This forum is arguably the best among other brands in the demonstrated knowledge of the vehicle in question.
I'm about to take delivery of AWD with premium and nav. packages in NBG/flaxen in a couple of days and just wanted to know if anyone will suggest any specific questions to ask or topics to cover with the sales consultant at that point considering this will be my first Lexus?
(One thing comes thru here is the concern over paint durability...never had any issues over 8 years with a Murano.
Is it a "must" to pay extra for paint protection by the dealer?)

if you can negotiate labor on your extras ahead of time.
If you want mudguards or paint protection negotiate to pay the price of the parts but not labor installation.
As for paint protection it is your decision. If prior vehicles of yours tended to gets scratches and nicks on the front bumper and hood from pebbles and road debris then get it. If you have not experienced that and park in a garage most of the time you may not need it.

Already have them "throw in" mudguards, door edges and real bumper protection strip.
What's the approximate breakdown of parts to labor on the paint protection job? Thanks.

here is a link to the xpel site filtered for the NX
https://www.xpel.com/products/paint_...&submodel=9023
Looks like around $250 for the parts.

Lexus Champion
My suggestion would be to get some time with the technology specialist before you drive off the lot. My dealer includes this as part of the delivery process, so I'm not sure if that's standard among Lexus dealers or not. For both my RX and IS, the tech specialist sat with us in the cars for a few minutes after everything was signed and done. He walked us through some of the nav settings and directions, paired our phones for us, set up our Enform accounts, gave us helpful hints, etc.
