I usually don't run the a/c compressor on it the winter. I THINK it makes a little difference, but it's hard to tell. It's probably all in my head. I'm actually pretty sure it's turned off electronically when not in use, but the light on the dash stays on and I just can't bring myself to trust it.

Wow with city drive only? That is pretty impressive. How many mileage have you put on your car so far?

I have never heard of it but I will do some research on that. Thanks for the information. BTW, my mpg seems getting a little better after 1100 miles, it now averages as 23.

Here is one link on what it is, but this one doesn't indicate if it is used in Michigan:
http://www.atlasoil.com/Blog/Whats-t...Blend-Gasoline

Here's another one, but not sure it gives me any more details:

Not sure of the impact, seems like it might be minor, but I do know for sure that I always see a reduction in my mileage, though the winter blend might not be the only factor causing that.

How would the hybrid have been disappointing?

Granted I have a 450h, it has been far from disappointing, it has more power than a 350 and gets better gas mileage, plus it being smoother and quieter amongst other things. Many hybrid owners find it much easier to achieve the EPA ratings or in some cases even better, where almost every other gas engine car i've had almost never got close to the rated numbers (ask rx350 owners). I would assume the same for the NX300h being easier to achieve it's rated numbers.

Mine is certainly not disappointing. This is a comment from someone that likely hasn't ever owned a Lexus hybrid so they don't understand the advantages. As you pointed out, there are other benefits. And it isn't just about the mileage, although I did get 35 MPG on my last tank. Let's be honest, these are compact crossovers, not sports cars, so we may have different expectations.

My issue is with the nx hybrid. The Rx 450h is a rocket ship and more akin to a V8, sort off. The CT is enough grunt for a small car.
Having driven the 300h with the 200t back to back is a disappointing experience for the hybrid.
It really feels like your lugging your 3 heavy mates in the back with the hybrid.
Having said that, smoothness of the CVT, quietness and fuel efficiency is great. If thats your priority.

http://www.fuelly.com/car/lexus/nx200t 24mpg seems average -.......of course it will improve with time and breakin. Keeping your foot out of it helps. Winter months will drop off 1-2mpg.

Your mileage seems reasonable. Give it a few months of warm summer driving and it will improve over time. As the temperatures drop off, expect it to get worse actually. Also, I recommend tracking the mileage manually by filling up a full tank using a website like Fuelly to help track things. The on-board gauge is only an estimate. You can check out all the Fuelly community mileages here.

Default Hey thanks for follow up

I had same issue and tires in cold was issue too

According to the Lexus, it should be 21 city and 28 highway. But mine seems still away from the standard
Any suggestions? Thank you so much!

Update:
Last weekend I drove my car for a road trip around 300 miles. I reset the mpg when I started off the trip but even on highway I got average only 23.7 mpg, which is disappointing. However, after I came back and drove in the city, it gave me 23.0 mpg average after resetting which seems better compared to the previous data.
Hope it will get better with more mileages putting on my lexus.

Update:
I think I got the reason why I had low mpg. I checked tire pressure in the cold and it appeared to be only 27, even after highway drive it can only reach 31. I went to the dealer to adjust to 36 in cold and gave the car a test drive and it surprising went to 27.2mpg with 80% highway and 20%city driving.
