F Sport - USB Port and Media Issues
I just bought a F Sport with Navigation package that has one additional USB port. I copied songs into 2 different USB sticks and tried both at the same time.
I don't see the option of USB1 or USB2 as shown in the manual. It just shows 1 USB port. Both ports work but always plays from random port and you can't say which usb will play when you have both. Can't switch usb ports for the source.
Also the browse option in the usb is not always active. Only the first song plays immediately you start the car. It takes long time (about 45 seconds) since you push the button to get to the next track.
Does anybody else have these issues? Any suggestions on these is highly appreciated.
1. How to switch sources between the 2 usb ports?
2. Why is my browse option in usb not active all the time?
3. Why the usb port takes so long to load?
Thanks.

Dual USB ports are also found in the IS. I think the feature is designed to allow multiple types of sources. For example, I have an old iPod and a USB drive connected. Another use could be to connect a phone for charging. It might be that the software isn't smart enough to recognize 2 USB drive.
Personally, I don't see the purpose of having two USB drives... they are very inexpensive with sufficiently large capacities for what one would reasonably load into the vehicle. Are you trying to load thousands (or tens of thousands) or songs? Even with the ~1000 songs I have, it can take the system a minute or two to load the "browse" function.
