Can You Help Test a Theory? Electronics bug
Can we get some help from the smart phone users out there?
1. Start up your car.
2. Pair your phone (bluetooth) to the NX.
3. Send yourself texts (or have someone else do it), make a phone call, do something on your phone through the NX system... any issues??? (mine usually dont occur right away, but after a few minutes). Maybe try it on your way to work or while driving around town with the family?
best way to see if you are having problems is TOUCH PAD and volume buttons on steering wheel and radio ****. Then you may notice screen locked up etc....
IF nothing after a little while of driving, can you try bluetooth pairing, AS WELL AS phone also plugged in to the cigarette lighter (for charging) in the center console (not USB port, cigarette ligher port if you are able)?
4. Please post any issues, non-issues, type of phone, etc and maybe we can figure this out to help Lexus with a cause and a fix. I will start a new thread for this.
I have an iPhone 6 Plus with the latest iOS 8.1.2 software, and I think that maybe the iphone+bluetooth to NX may be an underlying factor to this electronics bug, but I may be wrong.

I would say post the following if you have issues.
If anyone else can think of anything else I can add it to that list, but the more information the better.
Phil
- Phone Type (iPhone 6, HTC, Samsung, etc.)
- Software Release on the phone, if you know it or can find it
- Carrier (T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.)
- Is it paired with the NX or just in the vehicle but not paired?
- Is it plugged in via USB?
- Is it charging on the Qi charger or another way?
- Were you doing anything right before or while the electronics in the car locked up? (texting, streaming a radio station, etc.)
- What NX you have (200t, F-Sport or 300h)?
- What options you have on your NX (NAV, BSM, Parking Assist, etc.)
If anyone else can think of anything else I can add it to that list, but the more information the better.

there are too many variables to test like this... I have 2009 IS220d right now with nav and ever since Viber updated last time, i get a bug where nav shows "talking" as soon as i start the car and bluetooth pairs until i go into Viber again. It worked perfectly fine 2-3 months ago before Viber got updated. Annoying.

So, while I agree there are a ton of variables we have to start somewhere to try and help pair them down.
