Hey guys just wanted some advise
I just picked up my black fsport from lexus of englewood in couple of hours ago.
Im very happy with the car, it had only 8 miles . was in great shape.

My sales man and the walk around guy told me that there was no power / trunk / open / close on the car , since its an fsport ( implying its sportier , so to make it lighter ).


I went to lexus.com and a build, and there was a $400 open / close option on there.

Was wondering if you guys had that option on your car .

pro / cons ?

can they actually dealer install afterwards ? might that cause any changes in the car, since its a dealer install, not a factory one.

Congrats on joining the NX club!

The power rear door can be had on FSports, but it has to be a special order (at least in my region). I doubt the dealer can install it as it would require a lot of work.

yeha. i realized that the dealer had a bunch of fsports and instead of adding a rear power door, it added a bunch of bs options such as cargo mats and bumber guards, and floor mats to make it seem like it did have the power door . I guess I should have taken a closer look at it.
Also in looking at the inventory most dealers have in my area, none really had this power option coming in. Most of them had the matts and cargo matts, equals to more than the option of the power door. sign.

Created an account due to my frustration of being unable to find an F-Sport with power rear door without ordering a custom car. In which case, every dealer has quoted me MSRP if I choose to do so.

feel bad for you guys in NY. Over here, it seems to be a common combination F-Sport and power back door.

That's interesting. Never had a rear power hatch before and now using it after a month - I don't know how I lived without it.

Your salesman was an idiot. It's actually the main reason why I will deal with a general manager and no one else.

If I can "inform" the salesman about something on the car he is trying to sell me, I usually ask them to find me someone smarter.

My ordered car has a power lift gate.

I have seen lots of Fsports that are ordered and coming in and typically they are not ordered with the power rear.

I have an F-Sport with Power rear door lifter. I did not specifically ask for it when it came from the factory. I just told them what color interior and what color exterior and I wanted F-Sport. I am in the bay area
