Default where to buy a new battery in Bay Area?

Was quoted $180 from the dealership for a battery. Any recommendations in the Bay Area for a new battery?

Pick one up at an o'reilly's or autozone and install it yourself. Remember to reset the windows as well after:

1. open driver side front window halfway
2. close driver side front window and hold switch for 1 second
3. have a look at the other door window switches (they should be flashing)
4. repeat same procedure with other 3 window switches

For $180 at the dealer, I highly doubt they're giving you an OEM Lexus battery because our OEM battery costs about a grand.

Also, have you checked the health of your battery? Our batteries aren't maintenance free, check the little clear circle thing where it has instructions how how to check the health of the battery. If it says you require to refill it, make sure you refill it with distilled water.

I prefer DieHard batteries from Sears. I once had a battery from kragen (now O'reilly's) and it lasted only 1 years. My Current battery which is a DIeHard gold has last much longer.

I have never heard of a dealer selling anything other than OEM batteries.. which are manufactured by Interstate. And they are nowhere near a grand... $180 is about right for an OEM battery, including install.

I would recommend sticking with a factory battery, might cost you a bit more, but its factory..

It allows you to use your driver's side window control panel to operate the other windows.

Pretty sure a Toyota Truestart battery( the same one Lexus sells) is only about $110 and maybe some additional labor to install it
Never heard of a OEM battery costing a grand unless it's a hybrid primary battery which is more than a grand anyways
